About the Partnerships Team

The Partnerships team is a central part of WPPMedia UK's data and technology world. This team sits centrally so works across all areas of the business, we manage all our important relationships with companies that provide data and technology. They also handle big plans we have with major partners like Google, Amazon, and TikTok here in the UK. Our main goal is to make sure our agencies get the newest advertising technology and data tools, always with the best prices and contract terms available.

We carefully check if a vendor is right for us by looking at what's available, sending out questionnaires, and testing things in real situations. Then, we work out deals that save money for our clients and make our business run better. We look after relationships with more than 200 partners. This means anyone joining us will get a fantastic chance to really understand how the media industry works and to collaborate with many different teams and people across WPPMedia.

 

Role Summary and Impact

This job is all about managing our relationships with outside companies, called vendors who provide either media, data or technology to help power our client’s campaigns. The Partnerships Executive is vital to making sure everything runs smoothly and that we're getting good value.


Here's what you'll do:


  • Work with people: You'll talk to different teams inside our company to make sure our vendor relationships are working well. You'll also help manage the software and tools we get from these vendors, including who can use them.
  • Enable the Finance Process: You'll oversee making sure vendors are getting paid the correct amount, and on time.
  • Help the Partnerships team: You'll assist a team that assesses new vendor offerings. This includes checking out what's available in the market, reviewing new technologies, and testing what vendors offer. You'll also help keep track of important projects we have with our partners.
  • Set up new vendors: When we start working with a new company, you'll handle the paperwork to get them set up in our system.
  • Report on spending: You'll create and update reports every three months that show how much we're spending with vendors. These reports go to our senior leaders.
  • Manage budgets: You'll work with our finance team to manage the money we spend on company-wide software licenses and help plan future spending.
  • Plan contracts: You'll create and manage timelines for when we need to talk about and agree on new contracts with vendors.
  • Research vendors: You'll look into different technology and data companies to see what they offer.
  • Match needs with tech: You'll find out what our employees need from technology and then compare that to what we already have or what vendors offer.
  • Keep a vendor list: You'll maintain an easy-to-use list or online portal of all our suppliers.
  • Review contracts: After you get training, you'll help with the first check and mark-up of new contracts.

 

Skills and Experience

 

  • Love for Tech: You should be really interested in technology and how it can help us solve problems in marketing. We value an analytical approach that helps us to solve problems and challenges.
  • Good with Numbers: You're good with numbers and pay close attention to details in your work.
  • Excel and Powerpoint: You have good Excel and Powerpoint skills and are keen to attend our regular training sessions to grow and improve.
  • Eager to Learn: You love learning new things and are always looking to grow.
  • Clear Communicator: You can explain things clearly and in an organized way.
  • Super Organized: You're excellent at keeping things in order and managing your time.
  • People Person: You're good at connecting with people and building strong working relationships inside and out of the business.
