About the role
- You analyze post-consumer and post-industrial textile material flows and assess their potential for reuse, recycling, and other recovery pathways
- You evaluate and document output qualities, including rewear, reuse, recycling-grade, and downcycling fractions
- You support the development and continuous improvement of quality standards for textile feedstocks, such as polyester, cotton, and blended materials
- You collaborate closely with sorting facilities, recyclers, brands, and other stakeholders across the textile value chain
- You analyze pricing structures along the circular value chain and contribute to the development of market-driven pricing and fee models
- You monitor market developments, demand trends, and price volatility across different output streams and derive actionable insights
- You develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and reporting structures related to material flows, output qualities, and recycling performance
- You prepare data analyses and decision-making materials for internal and external stakeholders
- You support pilot projects with sorting companies, recyclers, and brands and coordinate technical and commercial requirements between project partners
- You actively contribute to building a high-performing European textile circularity ecosystem and help shape innovative solutions for textile recycling and resource recovery
What we need from you
- You have several years of professional experience in textile sorting, textile recycling, circular textiles, recommerce, waste management, or material recovery operations
- You possess a strong understanding of sorting processes and both manual and automated sorting technologies
- You have a solid understanding of recycling processes and feedstock requirements for different recycling technologies
- You are familiar with textile materials and fiber compositions such as cotton, polyester, polyamide, elastane, and blended fabrics
- You have strong analytical skills and experience working with data, including advanced Excel capabilities and ideally Business Intelligence tools
- You understand market dynamics, pricing mechanisms, and value creation within circular economy business models
- You have a structured, analytical, and solution-oriented approach to your work
- You combine a hands-on mindset with the ability to think strategically and translate operational insights into business recommendations
- You are an effective communicator and confident working with a wide range of stakeholders, including sorting operators, recyclers, brands, and industry partners
- You are highly self-motivated, eager to learn, and passionate about sustainability, circular economy, and resource efficiency
- Experience with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes, take-back systems, or environmental compliance frameworks is considered a strong advantage
- You are fluent in German and English, both written and spoken. German language proficiency is a mandatory requirement for this position.
