About the role 

 

Reporting into the National Head - Property within Commonwealth Private, the Partnership Manager will be a generalist with broad strength in Business Development and a particular focus on all consumer lending and commercial products of the CBA Group by providing and delivering the value proposition and holistic partnership solutions to external and internal relationships.

You will help drive the successful delivery of external and internal partnerships for a seamless whole of Banking offering and drive customer satisfaction through deepening relationships and developing relevant solutions. By collaborating with the industry leads and Private Banking teams, you'll support their endeavour to canvas the market for best-in-class partnerships and identify opportunities, while also applying rigour and good governance to developing and maintaining these relationships.

Additionally, you will:

  • Onboard and manage external and internal referral partnerships
  • Maintain ongoing relationships and portfolios of referral partners
  • Co-ordinate a well-structured cadence and approach to reporting weekly outcomes
  • Scorecard KPIs align to business outcome, objectives and growth
  • Co-ordinate events and manage thought leadership initiatives for referral partners
  • Portfolio Management Including engagement of existing partners and manage any offboarding
  • requirement of risk management skills
  • requirement and knowledge of credit risk and Private Bank policy
  • Enable and facilitate introductions from CP front line teams
  • Demonstrates strong stakeholder management – Home Buying, CSN and CP Operations, Banker and EM
  • Demonstrates and has a deep knowledge and understanding of the HLRSP program and offering
  • Manage opportunity management and referral partner from acquisition through to conversion
  • Maintains CPs external market awareness for partners
  • Strong communication and ability to discuss and apply market trends
  • Knowledge of competitors, products, rates and current housing market trends
  • Arrange networking opportunities for banker cohort and referral partners

 

About you 

 

To be successful in this role, we're looking for talent who have:

  • 1- 5 years plus experience in Business Development or Strategic Relationship roles
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and experience as it pertains to driving partnerships
  • Strong grasp of the technical evaluation aspects of asset allocation, portfolio construction, equities, fixed income, alternatives and real assets.
  • Experience in wealth management and financial markets preferably in the HNW segment (e.g. Private banking or Wholesale UHNW Asset Management or HNW Wealth management).
  • Commitment to meet compliance requirements  and mange risk matters 
  • Experience in Banking or Real Estate preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required
  • Proven ability to drive new business and partnership activity
  • A high level of EQ coupled with the ability to work collaboratively with other teams.
  • Some level of understanding on consumer and commercial lending and investments preferred
