The Partnership Associate is a force-multiplier and key resource to provide data-driven insights and seamless coordination of multiple priorities within the region’s business lines. This individual is responsible for supporting the business line’s objectives and consistent delivery to account or portfolio priorities via one or more of the following focus areas: research, analysis, business and/or account administration.
What You’ll Do
Account Operations Support + Analysis: Provides project coordination and day-to-day support within the region’s business line operations, ranging from managing internal communications, events, and meetings relevant to the effective functioning of the business line(s). Coordinates comprehensive analysis, reports and presentations of partner account plans and progress against milestones and targets, for use in partnership/business reviews, monthly operating reviews, and other senior management meetings.
Business Development Support: Supports business development efforts, helping to build data-driven insights and collateral that provide a commercial perspective and strategic positioning of Water.org’s unique value to current and prospective partners. Coordinates efforts between Regional Business, Insights and Award Management functions to support philanthropic revenue generation and impactful storytelling.
Account Management Support: May support day-to-day account management support for allocated partnership(s), which includes one or more of the following responsibilities:
- Coordination of partner workplan management and updates,
- Preparation of partner payments, agreement documentation, invoices, field monitoring planning, partner visits, etc.,
- Creation of meeting packs, reports, or other related documentation in preparation for partner meetings, and/or
- Backstopping Senior/Partnership Account Managers.

Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Three or more years of experience working with financial products and services in at least one of the following areas: retail, wholesale, and micro finance, micro, small and medium enterprises, and/or water & sanitation infrastructure finance/projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 software and related applications. Advanced proficiency with data manipulation and visualization in Excel and Powerpoint.
- Proficient (written and verbal) in English.
What Makes you standout
- Experience with financial inclusion programs, diverse loan products development, WASH, Climate, IEC and BCC materials development
- Financial institutions experience such as banking, non-bank financial institution (NBFI) and/or microfinance institution (MFI)
Travel Requirement
Up to 25% of domestic and international travel.
Being authorized to work in the country posted is a precondition of employment.
