Job Description:

Position Overview:

The Partner is a key leadership and senior-level client delivery role in the Chapman & Co. Leadership Institute. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations and leading the strategy in partnership with Senior Partners and the Managing Partner. You will support investment focus areas with external and internal partners as we engage in the identification and development of additional strategic partnerships to add to our product portfolio.

In addition, you will engage in senior level consulting opportunities including all aspects of our Culture and Leadership Development, Talent Management, Assessment, D&I and Customer Loyalty practice areas.

  • Communicates the vision of the organization in a way that others can relate and buy in, while helping others envision a greater sense of what is possible for the organization’s future.
  • Creating and maintaining productive relationships with clients, leading engagements independently 
  • Creates a climate that ensures that the right work is done at the right levels, while eliminating barriers affecting organizational performance,
  • Energize the organization by clarifying the broader purpose and importance of work, while providing praise, recognition and rewards for strong performance.
  • Demonstrated capability to build trusting relationships internally and externally.
  • Developing a community presence through active involvement in networking, teaching, speaking, community service and other forms of leadership that establish oneself as a leader in the community
  • Representing Chapman & Co. in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
  • Business Development - The Partner takes the lead in identifying clients, acting as an original marketer in building valuable new relationships. The Partner plays a vital role in penetrating existing clients with cross-sell opportunities. The Partner self-generates a significant majority of their work.
  • Client Project Oversight - The Partner acts as engagement manager on critical client engagements. 
  • Recruiting – The Partner plays an active role in identifying, evaluating and securing new talent for the team.
  • Practice Area Leadership – The Partner may run a specialty area for the firm.
  • Leadership - The Partner provides guidance, support and encouragement to team members, enabling them to grow their impact and value to the team,
  • Creates a culture that emphasizes ongoing learning and development and reinforces its value to the organization.
  • Content Development – The Partner contributes to new products, processes and services that serve clients as well as the strategic direction of the organization.

Typical Activities:

  • Serve as an original marketer by leveraging contacts and networks to bring previously unidentified business into the team to be self-delivered or delivered by others. Target for client billings annually is $1M*
  • Advise clients in terms of the types of work that might be most relevant and useful, outline the scope of our work with their clients and teams and manage requests for proposals. 
  • Oversee multiple engagements for multiple clients at a time, maintaining long-term relationships with more senior-tenured clients and entire organizations.
  • Oversee Client Engagement & Experience associates, ensuring that they are meeting client and C&Co. expectations for performance. 
  • Continually provide coaching and feedback to all team members while actively engaging in developmental conversations to develop talent at all levels in our organization and our clients..
  • Potentially, lead a practice area developing products and services, staying ahead of trends and promoting C&Co. as a leader in the specialty. Responsible for profitability of the practice.
  • Serves as an expert in operational areas related to running the business such as Finance, Marketing, etc.
  • Leads strategic projects, contributing original thinking, establishing clear project plans, communicating project success and opportunities on a regular basis and drives to timely completion according to the project measure of success.
  • Independently create content and experiences that meet client objectives and align to C&Co. core competencies.
  • Partners are accountable for the delivered client work that is completed through the team or delivered individually, and the impact that is delivered for the client.
  • Remain committed to the completion of daily problem-solving and helping the team solve the most challenging problems, while delivering flawless projects and processes to our clients.
