What You'll Do:
- Serve as a key leader of the Private Equity practice by setting, guiding and directing strategic initiatives in line with CrossCountry’s Core Values and other operational areas.
- Account Management: Cultivate new private equity relationship connections and expand existing client relationships, have a solid understanding of clients’ business, and ensure quality of deliverables and satisfaction on engagements.
- Coaching and Development: Serve as a role model, mentor, and liaison for others; provide coaching and training opportunities for team members leveraging individual skills and the firm’s people-first culture.
- Motivate and Support: Manage project teams by guiding performance against objectives, creating an atmosphere of trust and collaboration, modeling leadership behaviors, and encouraging continuous improvement/innovation.
- Recruiting and Retention: Take an active role in attracting, interviewing, hiring and retaining top talent.
- Thought Leadership: Share expertise in technical domain(s) with team members and clients, including case studies, white papers, learning materials, and other resources.
- Provide high-quality consulting services by taking personal ownership for delivering on technical requirements of client engagements that are fact-driven, solution oriented and meet CrossCountry’s standard for quality.
- Partner with our clients and delivery teams, including subject matter experts across the firm, to enable, lead, and manage various deliverables such as: OCFO assessments & roadmaps, acquisition accounting, reporting/FP&A optimization, 13 week cash flows, purchase accounting, working capital true-ups, close process optimization, accounting support, M&A integration, data strategy, organizational assessment/realignment, system implementations, quality of earnings, buy- and sell-side due diligence.
- Manage client accounts, projects, and engagements, including work plans, staffing, deadlines, and budgets throughout all lifecycle phases – strategy, goal setting, deliverables, and maintaining an integrated project plan.
- Supervise execution teams, providing senior project leadership and managing evolving client management needs for operational and change initiatives.
- Identify, assess, and analyze business problems for area of responsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
- Actively purse business development opportunities and market CrossCountry’s full range of services to prospective clients, as well as using existing relationships to generate new private equity opportunities
- Collaborate with the dedicated Business Development Director for the Private Equity practice to generate new opportunities
- Foster culture of growth and a business development mindset across the Private Equity practice.
- Act as a thought leader in the market and promote cross-team collaboration across Advisory and TS.
- Contribute to developing and implementing firm-approved, AI-enabled solutions for clients, in accordance with company policies on data protection, intellectual property, and professional standards.
- Stay informed about emerging AI tools and techniques and collaborate with firm leadership to identify compliant opportunities to enhance client solutions and internal processes.
As a Partner, you will report to the Managing Partner of the Private Equity service line and serve as a member of our leadership team to help continue the rapid growth of our Private Equity practice where we serve as an extension of the PE Sponsors to support portfolio companies’ accounting, finance, and technological needs. We work with PE Sponsors and their portfolio investments to drive meaningful and sustainable operational changes across the investment life cycle, enhance ROI and identify opportunities for value creation. You will be accountable for practice leadership, client delivery, and business development.

What You'll Bring:
- 15-20+ years of relevant experience advising PE Sponsors and/or their portfolio investments in either due diligence, technical and/or operational accounting, reporting/FP&A, finance transformation, business process improvement, finance and accounting tech stack, and transactions (e.g. M&A, divestitures, spin-off, carve-out, IPO, etc.).
- Prior experience in professional services (public accounting or advisory firm), preferably at a large, global accounting firm or with a management consulting firm
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Demonstrated track record of establishing credibility both internally and externally
- Proven leader with the ability to foster an environment of collaboration and excellence
- Passionate about building, developing, motivating, and leading others
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to think from a “big picture” perspective
- Creativity, confidence, and flexibility
- High energy, enthusiasm, and an entrepreneurial spirit
- Comfort with AI: Demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation.
- Continuous Learning Mindset: Openness to learning and applying emerging technologies including AI and automation in alignment with firm policies and client standards
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 40%.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Business, Finance, or other technical discipline
Skills Required
- 15-20+ years of relevant experience advising PE Sponsors
- Prior experience in professional services at a large accounting or management consulting firm
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA), CA, or CFA
