Role Description: 

The Partner Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies that align with both Defense Unicorns’ business goals and our partners' to drive mutual success. This role involves collaborating with internal teams and external partners to create compelling campaigns, manage co-marketing activities, and track the effectiveness of these initiatives. In addition, this role will help build effective B2B marketing strategies and programs to attract and establish new partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing, exceptional communication skills and relationship building, a passion for helping partnerships succeed, and a deep understanding of the defense tech industry.


Responsibilities: 

  • Marketing Campaigns: Develop and execute marketing campaigns specifically designed for or with partners to drive awareness, lead generation, and sales.
  • Co-Marketing Activities: Plan and manage co-marketing activities, such as joint webinars, joint go-to-market initiatives, events, and content creation.
  • Partner Success Programs: Build out onboarding and enablement materials and tools to ramp up partners quickly and ensure the ongoing success of our partnerships.
  • Branding, Messaging, and Product Info: Ensure that partners are aligned with the company’s branding and messaging guidelines and all relevant product information.
  • Content Creation: Create or revise marketing materials and “better together” narratives for partners to enable them to promote the company's software and our co-branded story.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to understand the competitive landscape and identify opportunities for partner-driven growth.
  • ROI Measurement: Track and analyze the return on investment (ROI) of partner marketing initiatives, making adjustments as needed to maximize effectiveness.
  • Team Management: Manage projects and teammates assigned to efficiently carry out tasks, achieve project goals, and reflect Defense Unicorns’ values.

Travel Expectations/Requirements: 30%-50%

The listed responsibilities are not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned based on the evolving needs of the organization. We are seeking a dynamic individual who is able to adapt and take on new responsibilities as they arise. 

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in the defense tech industry or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Partner Marketing
  • Strong understanding of partner marketing and the ability to collaborate effectively with external partners and build strong relationships.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Experience managing small teams.
  • Experience in the defense tech industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms, such as HubSpot.
  • Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights to improve marketing efforts.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with government contracting and the defense procurement process.
  • Ability to understand marketing metrics and make data informed decisions.

Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience. Compensation ranges are established using national benchmarking data and apply across all geographic locations within the United States.
