Arrow’s Enterprise Computing Solutions (ECS) business is a global technology enablement company that brings innovative IT solutions to the market to solve complex business challenges. We deliver value-added distribution, business consulting, and channel enablement services to the world’s leading technology manufacturers and their channel partners that serve commercial and government markets.
About the role
The Partner Business Manager owns the development, enablement and growth of our partner landscape for the Symantec and Carbon Black portfolio in Germany. The role combines partner recruitment, certification and long-term relationship management with hands-on support of our field sales team at end-customer level.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and grow the existing partner base; build long-term, stable and trusted relationships at management and technical level.
• Recruit and onboard new partners for the Symantec and Carbon Black business, from initial approach through to contract and program setup.
• Own the full enablement cycle: plan, organise and deliver product trainings at partner level and ensure the required certifications are achieved and renewed on an annual basis, so that partners remain authorised to sell and deliver our solutions.
• Track and maintain partner certification and program status; act proactively before accreditations expire.
• Build joint business plans with key partners, agree on targets and review performance in regular business reviews.
• Support the field sales team at end-customer level: join customer meetings and on-site visits together with the responsible sales manager whenever partner or product expertise adds value to the deal.
• Plan, prepare and execute partner and customer events together with Marketing — including user days, partner days and our annual summer event — and represent the business unit at these events.
• Contribute to pipeline development and forecast accuracy through partner-generated opportunities; keep opportunity data current in the CRM.
• Act as the interface to the vendor’s channel and partner organisation and stay close to program changes, incentives and roadmap topics.
• Provide market and competitive feedback from the partner landscape back into the business unit.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Proven track record as a Partner Business Manager, Channel Manager or in a comparable partner-facing role.
• Demonstrated ability to win and develop new partners — this is a core expectation of the role, not a secondary task.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; confident and credible at both management and technical level.
• Independent, structured and entrepreneurial way of working with a high level of self-motivation.
• Willingness to travel within Germany on a regular basis; valid driving licence.
• German at native or near-native level, English business fluent.
Advantageous:
• Experience in the cyber security market and with security software solutions.
• Knowledge of the Symantec and/or Carbon Black portfolio.
• Experience working in a vendor, distribution or aggregator environment.
