The RoleWe are seeking a talented Full Stack Web Developer who will design, develop, and maintain web-based applications supporting both internal and external initiatives for the Crypto team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about building products end-to-end and is excited to work cross-functionally on multiple concurrent projects.
The preferred location for this role is the San Francisco Bay Area or New York City. We will consider remote locations. The role may require in-office presence from time to time.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop full stack web applications, both internal and external facing
- Develop and integrate data visualization software to present complex information in a clear and intuitive way
- Help maintain internal databases and data pipelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, propose solutions, and implement features
- Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of various products
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in web development and related technologies
- Build scalable, data-oriented web applications
- Work on the frontend, backend, and database layers of the product stack
- Collaborate with a diverse team to bring projects from concept to completion
- Continuously learn and implement new tools, frameworks, and technologies
- Take ownership of your work and ensure the quality of your deliverables
- 5+ years of experience as a full stack web developer, with proficiency in Typescript, React, Python, and SQL
- Experience with data visualization libraries and tools (e.g., D3.js)
- Strong understanding of modern web technologies and cloud-based infrastructure
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with all levels within the organization
- Experience in the crypto industry is a plus but not required
- Low ego, high empathy, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
The anticipated salary range for this role is between $225,000 - $250,000, actual starting pay may vary based on a range of factors which can include experience, skills, and scope.
This role is eligible to participate in the a16z carry program and various discretionary bonus programs as well as benefit and perquisite plans including health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401K plan, vacation, and sick leave.
