The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company's regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.
Your Responsibilities
As a Part Time Student Software Engineering for Deere and Company World Headquarters located in Moline , Illinois, you will:
- Works on a product team along with software engineers and supports basic systems and software deployment and/or maintenance to deliver functionality on a system.
- The role relies on basic knowledge and experience on a single software package (Microsoft Dynamics).
- This is an entry-level role that is designed to learn, grow in competence, and develop the most basic capability needed to operate effectively in this role.
- Work decisions are reviewed by supervisors before implementation; Develops functionality within established guidelines
- Has a basic understanding in one functional area of scope; Delivers basic software use-cases.
This position is not available to students on immigration visas

- Action Planning: Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to develop appropriate plans or perform necessary actions based on recommendations and requirements.
- Application Development: Works under supervision at an elementary level to develop software using programming languages.
- IT Testing: Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to ensure that IT applications meet required specifications by designing, executing and reporting on tests of systems and services.
- IT Support: Works with guidance (but not constant supervision) to monitor, diagnose and fix technological problems.
- Pursuing Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level
- Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university
- Graduation date of May 2026 or later.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
- Available to work 12-20 hours/weekly during the academic year.
- Must be able to work on site during scheduled workdays. Remote project work opportunities may arise on a case-by-case basis.
- Available to work up to 40 hours/weekly during the summer semester
