Job Description:
Airbus Financial Services (AFS) has an exciting 18 month contract role (maternity cover) opportunity for a part-qualified accountant or qualified accountant to join the finance department based in Dublin’s IFSC, reporting to the Finance Controller of its subsidiary Airbus Flight Hour Services Ltd.
ORGANISATION
Airbus Financial Services Limited, (AFS) based in Dublin’s IFSC, is a 100% subsidiary of Airbus Invest SAS (ultimately a subsidiary of Airbus SE (Airbus)), a leading aircraft manufacturer consistently capturing around half of all orders for airliners with more than 100 seats.
AFS provides aircraft financing for a number of Airbus customers, leasing directly or through financing vehicles to airlines. It actively manages the group’s customer financing and asset management exposure. It also provides component availability, exchange and overhaul services to Airbus customers through its wholly owned subsidiary, Airbus Flight Hour Services Limited (AFHS).
Airbus Flight Hour Services Ltd, enters into flight hour service contracts with customers of Airbus to manage aircraft component spares and rotables availability and repairs on behalf of the customer. It currently manages approximately 50,000 parts in numerous locations worldwide.
Assist the preparation of month end management and statutory accounts to tight deadlines.
Preparing financial reports, performing reconciliations and investigating variances,
Producing budgets, forecasts and monthly reports,
Liaising with the company’s internal auditors, external auditors and finance personnel,
Participate in stock takes performed globally, as required,
Ad-hoc reporting.
Applying International Accounting Standards to the transactions so that the accounts comply with group and
external reporting,
Evaluating and developing existing systems and processes to ensure accurate, timely and value-added
reporting on the financial results of the company,
Implementing new systems and processes (including using AI tools) as the company maintains its excellent IT
benchmark.
The successful candidate will be a first or second-class honors graduate, highly motivated, technically astute with excellent google workspace/ excel skills. She/he will have a hands-on, flexible approach, a keen eye for detail and be an excellent team player.
Knowledge and expertise of working in SAP is a distinct advantage, as is previous experience working within IT projects.
She/ he must also have an ability to execute and deliver within tight reporting deadlines.

Skills Required
