If you’re looking for a hands-on job that can launch a career in the automotive or transportation industry, this is the place to start. As a Paratransit Quality Control Specialist, you’ll play an essential role in keeping our vehicles clean, fueled, and ready to serve the community.
This entry-level position provides exposure to a professional maintenance environment and opportunities to learn directly from our mechanics and maintenance leadership. Many of our employees have grown from this role into Mechanic, Maintenance Supervisor, or Paratransit Driver positions.
What You’ll Do- Maintain and fuel all paratransit vehicles to ensure they’re ready for service each day.
- Check and record fuel levels, take inventory readings, and complete standard fuel and variance reports.
- Inspect vehicles for physical damage, tire pressure, and fluid levels such as oil, transmission, coolant, and windshield washer.
- Keep vehicles and the yard clean — including light building and grounds maintenance.
- Reposition vehicles in the lot as needed to support dispatch and morning operations.
- Respond appropriately to fuel spills or safety issues, following established procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate with shop and operations leadership on any issues found.
- At least 21 years old (required).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons.
- Able to bend, kneel, or stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Willing to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours when necessary.
- Interested in growing within the automotive, transportation, or maintenance field.
- Gain hands-on experience in a professional maintenance shop environment.
- Build relationships with mechanics and shop leadership.
- Clear career pathways to become a Mechanic or Paratransit Driver.
