The Parallel Works ACTIVATE SaaS platform makes high performance computing (HPC) workflows easy, fast and collaborative on hybrid cloud and supercomputing environments. The platform acts as middleware between these wide ranges of computing resources and allows organizations to leverage their resource, billing and user hierarchies in a uniform way. The Role
In your role as Project Manager you will lead and coordinate projects in High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in HPC, an understanding of computational workflows, and proven experience in managing complex technical projects. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Software and HPC engineers, research scientists, IT professionals, and stakeholders, to deliver HPC projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
Responsibilities
- Define project objectives, scope, timelines, and deliverables for HPC projects.
- Develop detailed project plans, coordinate team schedules, and ensure timely completion of milestones.
- Track project progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure successful delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including researchers, engineers, and executive sponsors.
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring smooth and reliable project execution.
- Communicate project updates, risks, and impacts clearly and effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
- Collaborate with teams to prioritize requirements and allocate resources effectively.
- Work with technical teams to ensure projects meet performance standards and industry requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project outcomes and efficiency.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, progress reports, and post-project evaluations.
Required Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in an HPC or high-performance technical environment.
- Experience managing projects related to HPC and web software Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA, MS Project).
- Certification in Project Management (PMP, PMI-ACP, etc.) is a plus.
- Coding Experience is a plus.
