Key Responsibilities
- Contract Support:
Draft, review, and manage a variety of agreements, including vendor contracts, talent agreements, production services agreements, sponsorship/brand partnership deals, location releases, and NDAs. - Production & Event Legal Support:
Assist with legal needs related to festival operations, year round live events, and M ss ng P eces commercial productions, including insurance documentation, and compliance tracking. - Corporate & Subsidiary Support:
Provide legal and administrative support across affiliated entities ensuring consistency in documentation and compliance practices. - Contract Management & Organization:
Maintain contract databases, track key terms and deadlines (e.g., renewals, deliverables), and ensure proper filing and version control. - Research & Compliance:
Conduct legal research on entertainment, media, advertising, and event regulations; assist in ensuring compliance with applicable laws and industry standards. - Rights & Clearances:
Support intellectual property processes, including basic rights clearance tracking (music, footage, talent likeness) and coordination with internal production teams. - Internal Collaboration:
Work closely with production, marketing, partnerships, and finance teams to gather information, flag risks, and facilitate contract execution. - Administrative Support:
Assist attorneys with document preparation, redlining, signature workflows, and general legal operations tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 1–2 years of relevant paralegal or legal assistant experience
- Familiarity with contract terminology and basic legal principles
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with contract management tools is a plus
- Exposure to live events, festivals, or production environments
- Experience supporting commercial productions, branded content, or advertising work
- Basic understanding of intellectual property and rights management
- Highly organized and detail-driven
- Proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with creative and business teams
