Work Location: El Paso, TX, Dallas, TX, Hybrid (work 3 days onsite)
Hybrid Schedule: At Helen of Troy, we embrace a flexible hybrid work model designed to support collaboration and productivity. For roles eligible for hybrid work, our standard schedule includes in-office collaboration from Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Any updates to this model will be communicated in advance. Please note that hybrid eligibility and schedules may vary based on business needs and manager expectations.
What you will be doing:
This role is responsible for managing corporate registrations and governance matters, maintaining corporate books and records, supporting legal billing and finance processes, and assisting attorneys with routine legal document preparation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail oriented, and comfortable working cross functionally with finance and business teams.
Corporate Governance & Compliance
- Manage domestic and international corporate registrations, qualifications, and annual/biennial filings.
- Maintain corporate books and records, including entity formation documents, bylaws, operating agreements, minutes, and resolutions.
- Coordinate with registered agents and external service providers to ensure timely and accurate filings.
- Track corporate compliance deadlines and maintain corporate governance calendars.
Legal Operations & Billing Support
- Assist with legal billing processes, including invoice review, coding, and coordination with Finance and Accounts Payable.
- Support budgeting, accruals, and reporting for legal spend.
- Help maintain matter management and legal billing systems.
Legal Document Preparation & Attorney Support
- Draft, review, and revise routine legal documents under attorney supervision, including:
- Non Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
- Independent Contractor Agreements
- Basic amendments, letters, and form agreements
- Support contract intake, tracking, and recordkeeping.
Cross Functional & Administrative Support
- Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding routine corporate matters.
- Coordinate signatures and approvals with internal business teams and executives.
- Assist with special projects and process improvements within the Legal Department as needed.
Skills needed to be successful in this role:

- Sound judgment and commitment to accuracy and compliance
Minimum Qualifications:
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in an in house legal department or large law firm.
- Experience with corporate governance, entity management, and compliance filings.
- Familiarity with contract preparation and management processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management systems.
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting a consumer products, manufacturing, or multinational organization.
- Familiarity with Legal Tracker platform.
- Knowledge of corporate entity management software (e.g., CSC, Diligent, or similar platforms).
