Corporate Paralegal

Appalachian Underwriters, Inc. (“AUI”) in Oak Ridge, TN is seeking a paralegal to assist the legal team and licensing department in managing its licensing applications, renewals, and related processes. Additional duties may include working with the AUI legal team as necessary on business litigation-related tasks, state compliance projects, and assisting with file management and organization.

Knowledge and experience with state licensing practices, prior government paralegal work, or in-house legal team experience is a plus for the position.

Starting salary to be based upon relevant experience and qualifications. Paid Vacation Time and competitive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, disability, and 401k) available after 90-days of employment.

Required Experience:

· 1-3 years prior law firm experience (or its equivalent)

· Ability to manage and meet crucial licensing deadlines.

· Excellent computer skills, and able to learn licensing systems quickly.

· Proficient in document management systems and Microsoft Office Programs.

· Strong organization skills with attention to detail.

· Able to interact with high-level company management.

Candidates should be comfortable with an on-site presence to support collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership
