Job Description
Your Role
Partners with Legal Department attorneys to manage the corporate-level legal operations; including:

Board-level administration, management of legal entities, non-disclosure agreement support, maintaining databases, forms and documentation, and assisting with various responsibilities in conjunction with the legal department's needs.
You will be responsible for:

Board Administration – managing responsibilities for uploading and managing board materials and performing other duties relevant to presenting board materials.

Legal Entities Administration - Assisting with company secretary duties for the firm’s corporate-level legal entities. Maintaining up-to-date listing of officers and corporation information in databases and produce reports as needed.

Assisting attorneys in drafting, reviewing and negotiating confidentiality/non-disclosure agreements, including maintenance of internal document repositories.

Organizing, maintaining, and updating filing systems (hard copies & electronic).

Maintaining updated corporate documents and minute books.
-
Performing legal research, analysis, and other duties as requested.

Coordinating special projects as requested from time-to-time.

Responding to regularly occurring requests for information.

Facilitating the review of invoices for accuracy and payment.

Facilitating meetings with key stakeholders on projects, including senior managers from all across Invesco.

Preparing filings for posting to the SEC website

Interacting and communicating with directors as appropriate to schedule meetings and other board events, performing independence checks and answering board member inquiries.
The experience you bring:
Minimum 5 years corporate paralegal experience with a preference for financial services industry experience.
College degree or equivalent experience required; paralegal certification or training courses preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills: ability to develop positive and professional working relationship with colleagues through effective communication of information.

Ability to independently begin work and manage that work to completion while meeting due dates and deadlines.

Ability to multi-task and manage different, multiple workstreams with accuracy.

Ability to master routine tasks and to follow instructions.

Proficient grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals and stakeholders including senior-most leaders.

Ability to organize documents and information, learn filing systems, use prioritization skills, and concentrate on detailed information in a fast-paced work environment.

Strong professional work ethic and ability to handle private corporate matters in a confidential manner.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe, and all other Microsoft Office applications.

Diligent Entities, Diligent Board and SEC filing experience highly preferred.

Knowledge of or ability to learn specialized software applications for in-house legal work.
