Paralegal

We are looking for a Paralegal to join our team. You will be a key part of the Legal Department team, working directly with the General Counsel and other department members to support a high-functioning team that is responsible for all legal matters at Wisk.

This is a hybrid work opportunity. At Wisk, this means working onsite at our Mountain View office 2 to 3 days per week with flexibility for the remainder of the days. 

Intellectual Property

• Execute Wisk patent processes and workstreams
• Work closely with Wisk patent attorneys on patent matters
• Administer Wisk patent inventions disclosure process and patent award program
• Work closely with external counsel to manage deadlines and facilitate filing of documents and provide support on patent, trademark and design matters
• Participate in and/or develop process improvements

Corporate

• Manage legal workflows and project deadlines for the department
• Maintain corporate records and oversee the maintenance of international entity activity, jurisdictional qualifications to do business, and related entity and corporate governance items
• Support corporate transactions and assist with due diligence efforts and follow-on compliance

Contracts

• Administer global contract management process, including managing incoming requests and contract life cycles and maintaining a contract database
• Assist with the development and maintenance of standard contracts templates
• Assist in the analysis, drafting and negotiation of various types of agreements, including non-disclosure agreements and vendor contracts

Legal Operations

• Assist with the development and maintenance of legal processes and related IT systems
• Manage relationships with legal vendors

Other

• Assist with special projects as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm or company
• Familiarity with Gsuite, including Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and DocuSign
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 
• High level of discretion and ability to work with confidential information.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Problem solving skills and ability to think critically and strategically.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust to shifting priorities to meet deadlines.
