PrizePicks is looking for a Paralegal to help support PrizePicks’ legal, compliance, and government affairs departments on matters such as corporate governance, legal operations, licensing, contract management, and oversight of outside counsel and consultants. This position reports to the SVP Legal & Compliance and will occasionally assist the Chief Legal Officer & Head of Public Policy, SVP of Government Affairs, and VP of Compliance.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist the SVP with management of the Legal & Compliance departments, including oversight of outside counsel arrangements.
  • Properly file, renew, and maintain all necessary business licenses and permits in good standing with appropriate regulatory authorities. 
  • Perform due diligence and document management related to corporate transactions.
  • Construct robust contract management system and review and approval processes related to the same.
  • Maintain legal files, research and corporate legal and government affairs databases.
  • Plan political events to ensure compliance with political activity requirements and restrictions.

What you have:

  • 5-8 years of experience as a paralegal  
  • Bachelors degree is required; Paralegal certification is preferred.
  • Prior in-house corporate experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Prior experience working with or assisting gaming clients is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to be resourceful and self-sufficient is important.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, early stage start-up environment is critical.
