What you'll be doing:
Data Room Ownership: Build and maintain a centralized, clean contract, co sec and wider legal data room to ensure alignment across systems.
Budget & Invoice Management: Act as a trusted owner for external legal spend—reviewing law firm invoices against original quotes and tracking team budget adherence.
Process Optimization: Map out current legal workflows, identify gaps, and help optimize processes for the wider team.
2. Regulatory, Horizon Scanning & Expansion ResearchHorizon Scanning ("RegWatch"): Participate in monthly regulatory tracking; identify upcoming legislation across payments/e-money (AML/CTF, licensing, data protection, cybersecurity) and coordinate next steps with internal stakeholders (e.g., Infosec, Product).
Global Expansion Research: Conduct preliminary legal research on regulatory constraints, local requirements, and licensing parameters as PPRO expands into new markets.
Knowledge Repository: Maintain, audit, and update our repository of 60+ global legal opinions and market servicing trackers.
3. Commercial, Product & Governance SupportCommercial Contracts: Perform low-level contract reviews and provide general commercial support.
Product & AI Review: Support legal reviews for new product features and AI tools as they are developed.
Corporate Secretarial (CoSec): Assist with basic corporate secretarial tasks, including document notarizations, filings, and governance admin.
Outside Counsel Coordination: Support matter management, research, and daily liaison with external legal partners.
What you'll need to bring:
Experience: Ideally 2–3 years of paralegal, legal assistant or other relevant experience (we are also open to high-drive candidates with 1+ years of experience who are ready to hit the ground running).
Industry Background: Experience in Fintech, Financial Services, Tech/SaaS, Banking, or fast-paced Tech Startups.
Mindset & Soft Skills:
Highly organized, resilient, and comfortable operating under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
A pragmatic, solution-oriented approach ("how do we make this work for the business?").
Tech-savvy - comfortable using AI and driving AI solutions, with strong numerical literacy and attention to detail.
Excellent communicator with high integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial/budget data - adept at building relationships in person and remotely.
Nice-to-Haves:
Prior exposure to Corporate Secretarial (CoSec) tasks or legal tech tools (e.g., Ironclad).

Skills Required
