JOB PURPOSE

As a litigation paralegal, you'll provide comprehensive litigation support by managing case dockets, organizing pleadings, tracking deadlines, and coordinating with attorneys, clients, and other stakeholders throughout the full litigation lifecycle. This includes ensuring accurate preparation of legal documents, maintaining organized paperless files, and leveraging litigation support tools to facilitate efficient case progression and trial readiness.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage a docket of litigation cases from beginning to end, including organizing files, tracking deadlines, and coordinating with attorneys and team.

Draft and revise pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and disclosures in compliance with court rules and attorney case plans.

Communicate with clients, attorneys, experts, witnesses, adjusters, and opposing counsel to provide updates, gather information, and resolve issues.

Collect, review, and summarize depositions, exhibits, medical records, bills, and discovery materials to support case strategy and trial preparation.

Coordinate court filings, schedule depositions and hearings, interface with courts, and maintain litigation calendars and deadline summaries.

Conduct legal research on case law, procedural rules, and jurisdictional requirements to ensure compliance and support attorneys.

Utilize case management software to manage discovery, organize files, track case values, and document all work for accurate case files.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

2+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related field; or
Equivalent combination of professional experience, education, or certification.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Comprehensive understanding of court rules, filing procedures, and litigation processes.

Skilled in drafting pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and disclosures.

Strong legal research skills using case law databases and procedural rules.

Exceptional organization with ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and documents in a paperless environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, attorneys, experts, and opposing counsel.

High attention to detail, discretion, and professionalism in handling sensitive information.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and team members.

Proficiency using case management systems, litigation support tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Personal injury litigation experience.
