POSITION OVERVIEW
The Paralegal II - Contracts will provide administrative, research, and other support to Gentex Corporation’s Legal Department in the areas of contract law and other designated areas.
Location: This position requires on-site work at Gentex facilities. This role is not eligible for remote work.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Support attorneys with contract drafting, contract renewals, new vendor engagements, contract system administration, and legal research.
- Manage the initial legal review of a variety of contracts, including confidentiality agreements, service agreements, distributor and dealer agreements, and other supply agreements.
- Use corporate contract templates as applicable for different circumstances, with guidance from supervising attorneys.
- Run the intake of contract requests through the contract system and other channels.
- Develop a strong knowledge of corporate policies and assist with the management of the contract system.
- Draft correspondence, program letters, and coordinate administrative and legal practice tasks and projects.
- Contribute to the Legal Department as a whole, including creating and improving internal processes, assisting with file management, and providing contract negotiation support.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Complying with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace.
WHAT TO BRING
- Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or Paralegal certification, or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
WHAT WILL HELP
- At least 3 - 5 years of legal experience in private practice or as an in-house paralegal.
- Experience with SharePoint and C365 or other contract management systems.
