Spotify’s Legal team supports a fast-moving, global business at the intersection of technology, media, and creativity. In this role, you’ll work closely within our Corporate Legal and Global Compliance teams to help manage our corporate governance and compliance programs, coordinate stock maintenance and SEC filings, and support the day-to-day legal and compliance work that helps Spotify operate responsibly as a public company.
What You'll Do
- Support Spotify’s corporate governance and compliance work by helping manage key processes, disclosures, filings, and day-to-day coordination across internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with public company compliance matters, including insider trading compliance program administration and SEC filings, such as Section 16 reports for insider transactions
- Manage share-related matters by partnering closely with Spotify’s transfer agent, equity plan broker, and other internal and external stakeholders
- Support corporate governance processes, including board and committee materials, questionnaires, and information requests
- Provide project management support for compliance and governance matters, including overseeing incoming compliance matters and ensuring follow-through with stakeholders and assisting with trainings and other program-related activities
- Track ESG-related legal and regulatory developments and keep stakeholders updated on applicable requirements
- Support the administration of Spotify’s global sanctions compliance program, including screening processes, escalations, and coordination with cross-functional stakeholders
- Assist in the development, rollout, and tracking of ethics & compliance trainings, including maintaining training records and supporting ongoing program improvements
- Help manage and maintain internal ethics & compliance policies and procedures, including updates, communications, and governance processes
Who You Are
- You have 3+ years of experience supporting public company securities and/or compliance matters in a law firm or in-house environment. Experience with Section 16 reporting is preferred.
- You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- You have clear verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational skills, with an exceptional attention to detail.
- You have strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information.
- You can manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment.You take initiative, anticipate needs, and deliver creative solutions with proven problem-solving skills.
- You work well as part of a team, both with legal and non-legal stakeholders, and have an absolute commitment to professionalism and collegiality.
- You are comfortable working with tools like Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat, and can quickly learn new systems.
- You have some familiarity with AI-powered tools and a willingness to leverage them to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and support day-to-day legal and compliance operations
Where You'll Be
- This role is based in New York.
- We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still flexibility to work from home. We ask that you come in 2-3 times per week.
The United States base range for this position is $77,529 to $110,755, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
