As a member of the Compliance Operations team, the Data Foundry Engineer develops and supports user-facing data applications and data solutions built on Palantir Foundry. This role partners with business stakeholders and technical teams to digitize and automate Compliance processes by building reliable data pipelines, scalable data models, intuitive applications, and AI-enabled solutions where appropriate.
What You Will Do
- Develop, enhance, and support user-facing applications using Palantir Foundry Workshop and custom widgets.
- Translate business and functional requirements into scalable, user-friendly data applications.
- Develop and maintain frontend application logic using Foundry Workshop and React, where applicable.
- Monitor and improve application performance, usability, reliability, and functionality.
- Build and maintain API-driven data ingestion pipelines.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines using Python and SQL within Palantir Foundry.
- Transform and structure data for downstream applications, analytics, and reporting.
- Support the design, development, and maintenance of the Palantir Foundry Ontology.
- Develop reusable datasets, data models, and data assets to support application development and reporting.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and refine technical and functional requirements.
- Deliver solutions across the data lifecycle, from external data ingestion and transformation through application deployment.
- Troubleshoot issues across data ingestion, transformation, ontology, and application layers.
- Participate in application testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement activities.
- Apply established standards for data quality, validation, monitoring, operational support, and reusable data engineering practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, application performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Support AI-enabled solutions and integrations where appropriate within Compliance workflows.
What You Will Bring
- 2- or 4-year college degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 2–5 years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, analytics engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting data pipelines.
- Experience developing data applications, dashboards, or other user-facing analytical tools.
- Experience working across data ingestion, transformation, modeling, and application development workflows.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
