We are seeking a Palantir Data Engineer to support the development, implementation, and management of enterprise data solutions within the Palantir Foundry platform. This role is responsible for building scalable data pipelines, developing custom applications, integrating external data sources, and supporting mission-critical analytics through modern data engineering practices.

The ideal candidate has strong Python development experience, hands-on expertise with the Palantir ecosystem, and the ability to design robust ETL workflows, data models, and user interfaces while collaborating closely with customers and technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data transformation pipelines using Palantir Foundry and related platform capabilities
  • Build and manage workflows, data pipelines, and application configurations within the Palantir environment
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes for ingesting, transforming, and loading structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
  • Integrate external systems and data sources through REST APIs and develop code to parse, transform, and process API responses
  • Design and develop custom Palantir Workshop applications and user interfaces using TypeScript
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate mission needs into scalable technical solutions
  • Perform Tier II support by troubleshooting customer issues, identifying root causes, and implementing sustainable solutions
  • Conduct code reviews and participate in technical design discussions to ensure high-quality software development
  • Analyze source data and collaborate with Data Scientists and business partners to determine optimal data models and transformation strategies
  • Develop tools and services that automate data engineering processes and improve operational efficiency
  • Define and implement complex data workflows supporting enterprise analytics and reporting
  • Manage data lifecycle activities, including data retention, archival, and deletion policies
  • Maintain technical documentation including ETL mappings, code documentation, deployment guides, and operational procedures
  • Support ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and optimization of existing ETL pipelines and data services
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and enterprise data management standards

Required Qualifications

  • Must be fully cleared with a recent polygraph
  • Must be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this posting
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Software Engineer, or similar technical role
  • Strong programming experience with Python
  • Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry
  • Experience developing data pipelines using Palantir Pipeline Builder
  • Experience building applications and user interfaces using Palantir Workshop
  • Experience developing applications using TypeScript
  • Proficiency with one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C++
  • Experience developing and maintaining ETL workflows and enterprise data pipelines
  • Experience integrating external systems through REST APIs and processing API data
  • Strong understanding of XML, YAML, and JSON data formats
  • Knowledge of structured and unstructured data processing techniques
  • Understanding of data structures, database technologies, cloud infrastructure, and modern software architecture
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work directly with customers and stakeholders
