The Paid Social Lead will play a critical role in our outreach and engagement efforts, focusing on executing paid social campaigns for direct sold initiatives. Working closely with the Paid Social & Partnerships Lead and key stakeholders, this role will be pivotal in ensuring campaign success and content performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy 

    • Collaborate with the Paid Social & Partnerships Lead to maximize off-platform content performance and optimize campaign strategies.

    • Partner with audience development teams across Yahoo’s publisher portfolio to implement effective distribution tactics.

    • Stay informed on industry media, influencer trends, and social media strategies to enhance campaign effectiveness.

  • Operations

    • Execute paid social launches across all major social media platforms, troubleshooting any issues to meet or exceed client expectations.

    • Manage campaign budgets and financials, optimizing delivery and cost efficiencies to maximize performance.

    • Execute influencer marketing campaigns, managing predefined budgets, timelines, and deliverables.

  • Reporting

    • Capture live links and screenshots of all launched social posts.

    • Own, analyze, and distribute weekly campaign performance reports, identifying key trends and insights.

    • Monitor analytics and metrics to evaluate the success of social media posts and ad campaigns

    • Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual insights and best practices on paid social and influencer campaigns.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.

  • 2-5 years of experience running social media and outreach campaigns, preferably at a brand, publisher, or agency

  • Ability to perform multi-task work responsibilities in a time-sensitive environment and the desire to work with external clients under tight deadlines.

  • Experience utilizing audience listening and analytics tools for data retrieval, analysis and reporting across both publishing and social platforms.

  • Exceptionally social media savvy and aware of new trends / technology

  • Insatiable appetite for content, advertising and internet culture

  • A demonstrated excitement about Yahoo and its mission

The compensation for this position ranges from $87,750.00 - $182,500.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
