The short version
WPP Media is one of the big four media agencies worldwide and the leading one in Belgium. We're growing our paid search work for brands like Nespresso, Purina, Telenet, ICI PARIS XL, Danone, Proximus and IKEA. We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of hands-on SEA work (in-house or agency) to join our Activation team.
What the work actually looks like
A typical week mixes several of these: building or restructuring Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising accounts, taming Performance Max and Shopping (feed included), setting bid and budget strategies that survive contact with reality, testing ad copy and assets, building reporting that actually says something, and presenting what you found to a client. You'll work alongside SEO colleagues on Total Search projects, so an appetite to learn that side helps.
What makes the difference (more than raw technical skill)
· Genuine curiosity: the platforms change under your feet; PMax and AI-driven bidding made the manual-era playbook useless, and whatever works today won't survive two quarters
· A willingness to say “I don't know” when you don't: you'll have a 10+ person Search team behind you, plus a global network of hundreds of specialists
· Business sense: it's not just CTR, CPA and ROAS targets; it's margins, incrementality, and what the clients actually care about
Your profile
· You speak French or Dutch, with a good command of English
· You've worked on SEA projects for 2+ years, and yes, your internship counts; experience is experience
· You've used tools like Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Google Analytics 4, SA360 or Merchant Center (even if it's just one or two of the list, do apply)
· You deliver: you say what you'll do, and you do what you said
· You excel at one or more of: account structure, Shopping & feed optimization, bidding and budget strategy, ad copy and asset testing, audience strategy, automation and scripts, measurement and reporting
Atypical profile? Self-taught, career switcher, no marketing degree: fine by us. We care about what you've delivered, not where you learned it.
What you get
· Early and beta access to Search features through our privileged relationships with Google, Microsoft, OpenAI and others
· Well-known international and local brands, with the budgets and data that come with them
· Room to grow inside an international group — including toward specialties we're actively building, like GEO
· Brand-new offices in the center of Brussels, near Rogier and Botanique: lots of windows, air conditioning for the heatwaves, and the Hoxton bar around the corner for a relaxed afterwork
· Hybrid for real: leeway on when you're on site and when you're remote
How to apply — read this bit
No motivation letter. Instead, answer one question (10 minutes, tops):
“Describe one account or campaign you actually ran — a restructure that paid off, a PMax you tamed, a budget you rescued. What happened afterwards, and what money got wasted along the way?”
That's it. If you've done the work, this is easy. If you've only talked about it, it isn't.
