Your Job:

As the Paid Search Lead for North America, you will own the strategy, execution, and performance of paid search programs across Google, Microsoft, and other major search platforms to drive key business outcomes. You’ll be responsible for the evolution of our SEM practice, integrating automation, machine learning, AI and cross-channel insights to maximize growth and efficiency.
This role manages agency and vendor relationships, ensuring alignment to Brooks’ paid media strategy and achievement of channel KPIs. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Digital Marketing, Integrated Marketing, E-commerce, and Digital Products teams to support cohesive plans and seamless execution. The Paid Search Lead must be capable of wearing multiple hats, manipulating data from multiple sources to analyze performance results and providing strategic recommendations to improve paid efficiency and performance.
A successful candidate will be able to span between being a strategic thinker who can develop long-term plans, to oversee day-to-day execution, ensuring the program is running effectively and smoothly. This role will be required to dig into data to inform decisions, test new approaches, and continuously optimize results. The Paid Search Lead will serve as the go-to expert at Brooks for all things Paid Search and champion innovation across the organization.

Your Responsibilities:

  •  Lead the strategy, and manage the execution and optimization of Paid Search campaigns across Google, Microsoft, and other major SERPs, including Performance Max, Shopping, and traditional SEM.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert at Brooks for all things Paid Search, providing strategic guidance, education, and support across teams and levels of the organization.
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with external search agencies, providing clear strategic direction, setting expectations, and ensuring flawless execution of campaigns.
  • Hold agency partners accountable for performance, timelines, and deliverables, using data and KPIs to drive transparency and continuous improvement.
  • Own storytelling and education to leaders across marketing and the enterprise business team
  • Ensure efforts are integrated with internal teams (SEO, Creative, Analytics, eComm) and aligned with broader marketing objectives.
  • Develop and implement advanced bid automation strategies using platform-native tools (e.g., Google Ads Smart Bidding, Microsoft Ads Automated Bidding) and identify other third-party solutions as needed.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine bidding algorithms to align with business goals, seasonal trends, and customer behavior to drive growth and efficiency.
  • Act as the internal thought leader on search trends, platform innovations, and AI-driven advancements.
  • Develop and execute test-and-learn roadmaps to drive continuous improvement.
  • Analyze campaign data, generate insights, and present findings to stakeholders with clear results and recommendations. • Foster collaboration and strategic alignment by maintaining strong connections with regional teams outside North America.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies in search and performance marketing.
  • Champion cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless execution and measurement of campaigns.
  • Other responsibilities as required. 

Your Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or similar field required
  • 5+ years of experience in Paid Search, ideally within retail vertical or direct-to-consumer brand.
  • Google Ads, SA360 and Microsoft Ads experience required, with deep understanding of bidding strategies across these major search platforms.
  • Ability to oversee the build, launch and optimizations across large, complex SEM campaigns that align to business objectives with minimal guidance.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to effectively speak to complex details in a clear, concise manner.
  • Proven ability to manage large scale budgets, forecast performance, and communicate results effectively.
  • Experience managing or working closely with external media/search agencies, with a strong ability to guide strategy, provide feedback, and hold partners accountable to performance goals.
  • Experience managing Performance Max and other AI-driven campaign types, with a strong grasp of how automation impacts bidding, targeting, and creative delivery.
  • Extremely proficient in core Microsoft 365 products, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • In-depth knowledge of analytics tools (preferably Adobe Analytics)
  • Possesses well-developed skills in strategy creation, decision-making and analytical problem-solving
  • Known for building strong, trust-based partnerships through interpersonal skills to foster cross-channel collaboration.
  • Experience with Amazon Advertising is a plus.
  • Experience supporting or leading global search strategies.
  • Passion for innovation, curiosity, and a bias for action.
  • Alignment with Brooks’ values and a genuine interest in the running community.

Compensation:
The pay range for this position, based out of the Brooks Seattle HQ, is $96,358 - $120,448 per year. Base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Bonus -in addition to base pay, Brooks employees may also be offered an annual bonus based on company performance.

Location - You will spend 3 days per week in our Seattle offices, as we believe our organization flourishes when connections, collaboration, creativity, problem-solving, and celebrations happen in person.
