Reports To: Director of Operations 
Preferred Location: Anywhere within Justice North’s service area

Justice North is accepting internal applications for the position of PAI Clinic Coordinator. This role supports the Private Attorney Involvement (PAI) program by supporting client intake for Pro Bono and Judicare services, managing administrative functions for PAI clinics, and supporting volunteer attorney recruitment, engagement, and retention. 

The PAI Clinic Coordinator will help ensure that eligible clients are connected with appropriate civil legal services and that PAI clinics and Self-Help Centers operate smoothly and consistently across Justice North’s service area. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Conduct intake for staff conflict cases and assess cases referred to PAI for potential placement with a Pro Bono or Judicare attorney. 
  • Provide referrals or resources when cases cannot be placed. 
  • Coordinate administrative functions for PAI clinics and Self-Help Centers, including scheduling, staffing logistics, open clinic spots, and related communications. 
  • Track metrics related to PAI clinics and Self-Help Centers. 
  • Support recruitment, recognition, engagement, and retention of volunteer attorneys. 
  • Work with the PAI team to update forms, templates, procedures, and program documentation. 
  • Monitor PAI communication channels with the team and help ensure timely responses to clients and volunteers. 
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, events, and special PAI projects as assigned. 

Qualifications 

  • Demonstrated commitment to serving low-income, immigrant, and vulnerable populations. 
  • Paralegal certification or significant work experience equivalent to certification. 
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and project management skills. 
  • Experience coordinating volunteers, preferably in a nonprofit setting. 
  • Experience working with diverse populations and underserved communities. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to track data accurately. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams. 
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel within Justice North’s service area. 
  • Experience working in rural or geographically dispersed communities is preferred but not required.
