SMX is seeking a PACOM Deployment Specialist to assist our government clients. The position provides support for day-to-day logistics operations for a complex program, including coordinating equipment delivery, shipping and receiving equipment, property achievement, overseeing distribution of equipment, meeting with key stakeholders, and providing guidance for our customer.
This position requires a DoD secret clearance which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage supply systems, support services and vendors providing material support to specified locations
- Serve as liaison across US and partner nation staffs to ensure alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) strategic objectives
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure shipping and receiving are tracked and shared with key stakeholders
- Coordinate equipment transportation with local vendors to directed locations
- Ship and receive C6ISR equipment in conjunction with DoD partners
- Conducting weekly, monthly, quarterly inventories of
- Assist with the management of logistical requirements IAW DoD
Required Skills & Experience
- Valid US Passport
- Active Secret Clearance
- BA/BS in relevant field - One-year related experience may be substituted for each year of required education
- 4 years’ of logistical experience with an emphasis in military logistics or six to eight years of similarly complex operations experience
- 4 years or more of experience with a military property accountability system (ie GCSS-Army)
- Strong communication skills
- Must be proactive and communicate clearly
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Must have the ability to multitask, ensuring timely completion of multiple complex assignments with competing and shifting priorities
- Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers
- Strong understanding of DoD Property Accountability (ie AR735-5)
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience with DIOGENES and/or other web-based DoD asset/property management systems
- Experience working with subcontractors in a Department of Defense environment
- Demonstrated Experience/previous responsibilities as Military Logistician/SNCO or Officer within Special Operations or deployed warfighting units where asset accountability including repair, distribution, shipping/receiving and controlled cryptological equipment inventory were of utmost importance is HIGHLY desired
