Job Description:

The Packing Auditor is responsible for conducting inspection of packing jobs for quality and conformance. The Packing Auditor will pack and wrap containers, band and tie products and materials in preparation for shipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect packing orders for completeness ensure orders conform to packing lists

  • Ensure material quality and cleanliness prior to packaging; examine parts and replace broken items

  • Arrange for touch–up painting of parts as needed

  • Ensure orders are packed in observance to shipping schedules

  • Complete all required documentation including taking photographs of the contents and filing electronically

  • Coach and provide feedback on discrepancies in order

  • All other duties as assigned by management

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2 years packing experience preferred

  • Computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and other computer programs

  • Basic mathematical skills

  • Ability to use hand tools requiring dexterity

  • Ability to read tape measure

  • Ability to read a blue print

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with factory supervision

Work Environment:ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements
  • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Able to stand (75%); walk (20%); stoop, kneel or crouch (5%), as required.

  • Able to climb portable ladders

  • Able to wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout shift.

  • Able to wear hearing protectors (ear plugs) throughout the shift while working in an environment with moderate noise levels.
