The Strategic P2P Specialist role is an important position within Tarkett North America’s Strategic Procurement function that will be responsible for procure to pay (P2P) analysis, development and execution of process and policy improvements across Tarkett’s North American location(s).
This position is responsible for analyzing, developing, and executing improvements to Tarkett North America’s procurement processes. Actions include identifying areas for optimization and implementing process improvements to drive efficiency and cost savings.
The candidate will provide subject matter expertise and guidance to deliver innovative solutions in accordance with, and support of the Strategic Procurement department.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Execute proactive portfolio management within the P2P process to ensure a smooth and seamless transition between the various functional handoffs. Includes analysis and oversight of the relationship between contracts, SRM, PO, and OCR invoice functions.
- Develop and execute process documentation, including process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process flowcharts.
- Support the Sr. Business Analytics Manager through the execution of organizational objectives and relevant metrics. Includes effective, accurate and complete sourcing and analysis of data from external and internal sources.
- Supervise corporate procurement buyer(s) that report directly into the Tarkett North America Strategic Procurement Department.
- Responsible for oversight/ control of updates to SRM approver matrix for SRM (includes Purchaser, Manager, Control Check, Project Manager)
- Function as the corporate single point of contact for the determination of multi-location contract PO format. Advise individual location purchasers on optimized PO format.
- Drive PO accuracy and enable automation of various handoffs within the P2P process, requires understanding of master data and vendor data requirements.
- Collaborate with Procurement Category Managers, Accounts Payable staff, and suppliers to resolve PO format, invoice format and payment issues (missing goods receipt, quantity and price discrepancies, missing PO, request for information, demurrage) including optimizing use of the Readsoft invoice reconciliation process.
- Develop and execute training and support to Procurement team members and internal departmental clients on P2P processes, process changes and systems enhancements. Execute and maintain Tarkett North America online access to P2P training.
- Provide SAP expertise as subject matter expert to the Strategic Sourcing Community.
- Manage the Tarkett Sharepoint/Connect TNA Procurement site and maintain MS Teams files.
- Oversee supplier contract entry into contract storage system.
- Hold Procurement Dept. P-card, process, and reconcile transactions.
- Support audits and government reporting for Procurement.
- Approve procurement roles in SecurePro.
- Represent Procurement in cross-departmental projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing or other equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 of years of SAP experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent analytical skills, and a deep understanding of procurement best practices.
- Proven ability to communicate and work effectively via excellent written, verbal and presentation skills across many functional groups and levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve complex process/systems problems.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement software tools (e.g., Ariba, Coupa).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis).
- Experience with data management and governance best practices.
- Knowledge of Power BI, SQL, or other data analysis tools is a plus.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, or similar industry.
