BlackSky is seeking an A/P Specialist in our Herndon, VA location to join our Accounting team. This role reports to the Senior A/P Specialist and as a hybrid role, is in the office twice a week.

Responsibilities:

• Enter and process invoices for all BlackSky subsidiaries. Processing invoices includes matching to an appropriate Purchase Order. 
• Reconcile CC Receipt to Account Coding and work with business owners to understand costs.
• Process multiple audits in collaboration with the People Ops team and Accounting Manager.
• Prepare well-supported accounting records to ensure timely month end close and successful audits.
• Responsible for adhering to internal controls on procurement and payable process.
• Process electronic funds payments, including credit memos and refund requests. Responsible for ensuring timely payment of critical invoices, which includes tracking, use of checklists and helping business owners request invoices and purchase orders.
• Process employee expense reimbursement process (both manual and automated) and administer the expense policy.
• Maintain accurate billing, use and other indirect tax records for new and existing vendors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional business partners and suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies, POs, and other AP matters.
• Reconcile vendor statements.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of two years of AP experience.
• Strong Excel spreadsheet skills.
• Strong analytical skills along with good judgment.
• Detail oriented, ability to meet deadlines, and prioritize.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Great teammate with excellent social communication and organizational skills.
• Eagerness to learn and take on any tasks assigned.
• History of maintaining total confidentiality and discretion of all employee information.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Deltek Costpoint experience.
• Plex experience.
