About the role

At Wellways, our people are at the heart of everything we do. Wellways is looking for an experienced People & Culture Business Partner who is passionate about building strong relationships, coaching leaders and delivering practical people solutions that help our workforce thrive.

Working as part of our collaborative People & Culture team, you will partner with operational leaders across an allocated portfolio, providing trusted advice and guidance that supports both our people and the community.

As a trusted advisor, you will strive to strengthen leadership capability, navigate workforce challenges and support positive employee experiences across the full employment lifecycle.

Rather than focusing on transactional HR, you will provide contemporary advice, coaching and strategic support across workforce planning, employee relations, organisational change, wellbeing and people capability.

You will also collaborate with specialist teams including Workplace Relations, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Work Health & Safety and Organisational Development to deliver integrated, people-focused solutions that align with Wellways' values and organisational goals.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with leaders to provide expert People & Culture advice across workforce planning, employee relations, organisational change and employee wellbeing.
  • Coach and build leadership capability, supporting confident and informed people management.
  • Work collaboratively across specialist People & Culture teams to deliver consistent, practical and compliant workforce solutions.

You will also need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management or demonstrated working experience.
  • Broad knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations and People & Culture practices
  • Current valid Driver’s License and the ability to undertake travel for the role
  • Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Right to Work within Australia
  • National Police Records Check
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate – free online course
  • LCS2 Outcome – Wellways will supply

Desirable:

  • Strong working knowledge of SCHADS and Modern Awards
