This position is based on-site at our Indianapolis fulfillment center.
What You’ll Do
Hungryroot is looking for an Outbound Lead to join our growing fulfillment team based in Indianapolis. The Outbound Lead will support the Outbound Supervisor in the overall operation of an outbound shift with emphasis on supporting outbound associates in the replenishment, packing, check weight, palletizing and shipping areas. Outbound Lead will assist in training new employees.This person will work closely with outbound associates performing fulfillment activities. They will also work closely with the pick lead, ICQA leads, and outbound supervisor to understand and review performance and expectations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Adheres to health & safety policies, GMP’s, and quality standards
- Coordinate all setup activities necessary to replenish product on the order picking lines verifying, and shipping customer orders
- Assist in researching and resolving inventory, quality, and/or efficiency related opportunities
- Conduct observations in the fulfillment process and provide coaching/feedback
- Work in a temperature controlled environment averaging 38 degrees
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping in assigned area
- Pick, pack, replenish, or operate power equipment as needed
- Backup the outbound supervisor if they are off the floor for meetings etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Why We Need You
- Previous fulfillment experience preferred
- Ability to meet established standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis
- Standing continually for a 10-hour shift·
- Potential for overtime; may stand for longer than 10-hour shift
- Ability to lift boxes up to 50 pounds
- Repetitive manual dexterity
- Basic computer skills
- Able to interpret data to make sound operational decisions
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 1+ years of experience in a similar role
