Amity Foundation, an internationally acclaimed Teaching, and Therapeutic Community are seeking compassionate and enthusiastic individuals with a desire to teach, learn and join our community as an  Overnight Monitor (Eternal Vigilance) at our residential campuses. This groundbreaking opportunity not only will be working in our residential programs to help the inmate population but will also enhance your training and experience in the field.

Salary Range: $16-$18/hr
 
What You Will Do:
As an Overnight Monitor, you contribute to the community by:
Supervises students during quiet and sleeping hours and constantly remains awake and alert.
Make bed checks and documents at the scheduled time as required.
Assumes supervision responsibilities in the absence of faculty.
Contacts designated faculty as directed and notify them of problems and/or incidents.
Completes required forms for faculty intention meetings.
Serve as advisor and positive role model for assigned students.
Prevents, intervenes, reports student altercations and incidents.
Administers First Aid and CPR during emergencies in accordance with the American Red Cross.
Conducts and practices emergency evacuation procedures.
Assists in maintaining facility grounds and keeping equipment in proper working condition.
Responsible for Critical Incidents and Incident reporting when occurs during scheduled shift.
Up-loading clinical supportive documentation (i.e.: motivation logs, intensions forms).
Performs other related duties as assigned
 
What You Will Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent GED.
Flexibility to work various overnight shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Ability to operate general office equipment
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Minimal knowledge of contemporary substance abuse treatment practices in a residential setting.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Ability to maintain sensitivity and objectively under pressure generated through association with substance abuse students.
RADT certification a plus!
