Overhead Line & Cable Design Engineer (HV/MV/LV) | Saudi Arabia
Design and selection of conductors, OPGW, and XLPE cables; calculation of current rating, short circuit, and voltage drop; familiar with installation accessories, joints, terminations; review of type/routine test reports and factory inspections.
Relevant Standards/Certification:
IEC 60228, 60502, 60840, 62067; CYMCAP, PLS-CADD; Power Cable Design or Transmission Line Design Certification
Experience: 7–12 years
Qualification: B.E/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
Skills Required
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
- 7-12 years of relevant experience in overhead line and cable design
- Design and selection of conductors, OPGW, and XLPE cables
- Calculation of current rating, short circuit, and voltage drop
- Familiarity with installation accessories, joints, and terminations
- Review of type/routine test reports and factory inspections
- Knowledge of IEC 60228, IEC 60502, IEC 60840, IEC 62067
- Experience with CYMCAP
- Experience with PLS-CADD
- Power Cable Design or Transmission Line Design Certification
