Responsibilities:

• Strategic Oversight: Guide clients in budgeting, revenue recognition, and financial performance analysis. Shape financial strategies to support client business goals
• Reporting & Compliance: Review and present client financials, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Manage key external relationships on client's behalf
• Advisory & Planning: Provide long-term financial guidance to client leadership. Oversee cash flow, tax strategy, and risk management planning
• Technology & Systems: Recommend and supervise implementation of financial systems and tools for client organizations
• Embrace new and innovative technology, e.g., AI and various accounting softwares
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop the engagement team serving the client. Ensure alignment with client objectives, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 10+ years of advanced, hands on full cycle accounting experience including financial statement preparation within manufacturing, retail and distribution industry
• Previous public accounting experience preferred
• Well versed in GAAP, financial regulations, and compliance standards
• Previous experience with cost accounting, inventory valuation reporting and financial forecasting
• Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
• Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role
• Ability to quickly embrace, adapt and learn new technology that will include various accounting softwares
• Experience with Microsoft Business Central, Intacct and/or NetSuite preferred but not required
• Proven ability to build and manage relationships
• Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA, MBA) preferred but not required
• Ability to travel 5-10% annually

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $125,000 to $185,000 with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.
Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
