As an Outside Sales Rep - Matting Solutions, you will be our customers' go-to person for all Matting products and services. Our customers expect expert consultation regarding usage, job site management, inventory cost-control measures, and above all else, a frictionless rental process. In this role, you will be a partner to our customers ensuring they get the best product or service for the job at hand.
What you’ll do:
Maximize revenue from facilities and construction sites in a defined geographical territory
Visit customer job sites to evaluate project requirements, provide on-site consultations, and offer product recommendations
Ensure customer satisfaction through regular follow-ups and field support at job sites
Deliver training sessions to other business units within United Rentals to ensure a comprehensive understanding of Matting Solutions products, and services
Provide guidance and support to internal teams regarding product features, benefits, and applications
Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers and their subsidiary companies, acting as a single point of contact for such customers
Demonstrate and train customers on available products and services provided by Matting Solutions
Call potential customers to set up demonstrations and on-site visits
Prepare sales action plans and strategies
Collaborate with all vertical sales personnel to promote cross selling to accounts wherever possible
Utilize Sales Force.com and other CRM tools to develop pipeline of opportunities

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred
3 years of sales experience
Strong planning, problem-solving, organizational, communication and negotiation skills
Diligent attention to safety
Knowledge of construction, matting, or related equipment preferred (comparable industry experience, strong sales acumen and record of achievement may be considered)
A valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Extensive travel in company vehicle to office, construction and industrial sites
