Founded in 1987, Precision Turbo and Engine (PTE) is one of the world’s foremost manufacturers of high performance, aftermarket turbochargers and supporting equipment. Our manufacturing facility, conveniently located in Northwest Indiana, has been a worldwide supplier of high-performance turbochargers and boost control products that have set the standard for uncompromised quality and unsurpassed performance since the late 1990s. How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Components division, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and cultivating productive relationships with both new and existing accounts. This position requires travel of up to 50% attending racing events, trade shows and visiting customers. There is generous benefits package, 401k and paid time off, offered from first day of hire.
What will your typical day look like?
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work within a team environment.
- Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
- Be responsive to customer’s needs and company expectations.
- Generate new leads, as well as maintain current customer base.
- Answer incoming customer phone calls and emails promptly.
- Proactively make outbound phone calls.
- Conduct onsite visits, conduct onsite product training, attend events, and attend trade shows inside and outside of regular business hours as required.
- Convert customer phone calls and visits into sales.
- Conduct market research to prospect for growth opportunities.
- Work within SAP data system to provide quotations, write sales orders, and RMA’s
- Use/create reports within SAP data system to support day-to-day sales activities.
- Evaluate customer’s needs; spec/recommend products needed.
- Assist in reviewing marketing material, and website content as requested.
- Collaborate with Marketing Team on blogs and vlogs.
- Assist in the creation of sales/marketing documentation.
- Provide feedback to the Management Team and the Director of Engineering.
- Support other Teams within the organization, such as Customer Service, Tech Support, and Service.
- Work on various projects as directed by Management and meet deadlines.
- Attend and participate in sales meetings, technical discussions, and conferences.
- Knowledge of product and warranty programs.

- Employee is required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds.
You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary range for this role is between $55,000 - $74,100. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands, and work location. QualificationsWhat do we want to know about you?
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- Minimum 3 years Sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Good communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, with some weekends.
- Bilingual: English and Spanish, preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong selling, problem-solving, critical thinking, networking and relationship building skills.
- Strategic in interacting with all customer types and assessing customer needs and account objectives.
- Experience in automotive or racing industry preferred
- Ability to work well independently with minimal direction, as well as within a strong team environment.
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Suite
- SAP knowledge preferred

The salary rate for this role is currently $55900-74100 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
