The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for creating sales, establishing and maintaining both client and referral relationships, curating a steady pipeline of active opportunities, and consistently hitting the established monthly sales quota. This is NOT an entry-level position and the candidate will have a proven track record of outside (not inside) sales. 
Target clients are food service, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, and light industrial industries.
Unlike many staffing firms, our recruiting and operations teams handle fulfillment and service delivery, allowing you to stay focused on relationship-building, business development, and long-term growth.

Your Location:
  • In-Person (Not Remote or Hybrid)
  • 835 E Lombard Street, Baltimore, MD 21202
  • You'll need to live in the area to be able to network, meet with referral partners, and prospective clients.   (Baltimore & DC)
Your Schedule:
  • Full Time (40hrs/Wk)
  • Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:00pm (additional hours as needed)

Your Contribution to Personnel Plus:
  • Client Relationships: Establish and maintain revenue-generating relationships with decision-makers across food service, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, and light industrial industries throughout Baltimore and DC.
  • Referral (“Annuity”) Relationships: Establish and maintain consistent sources of referrals (executive chefs, unit managers, facility leaders, plant managers, and operational decision-makers)
  • Pipeline Management: Use our CRM to enter in leads, opportunities, activities. Keep it updated with probability, close date, and next steps.
  • Scope of Work: Determine SOW and make sure the proposals align to client need.

Your Ideal Knowledge/Experience:
  • Proven success in relationship-driven B2B sales or business development
  • You enjoy being in the field meeting clients and developing business
  • Hospitality, food service, healthcare, logistics, operations, staffing, or other relationship-focused industry experience is a plus!
  • This is NOT retail or "clerking" – you produce your own book of business

Personnel Plus' Contribution to You:
Base + Commission
  • Base = $80k+
  • Commission: 10% (1yr Sales to Client)
  • Yr 1 Sales @ $350k w/ OTE = $115k
  • Yr 2 Sales @ $550k w/ OTE = $135k
  • Yr 3 Sales @ $800k w/ OTE = $160k

Skills Required

  • Proven success in relationship-driven B2B outside sales (track record closing business)
  • Comfort and experience working in the field, meeting with clients and referral partners in-person
  • Must live locally and be able to network and meet clients in Baltimore and DC (in-person role)
  • Experience using a CRM to manage leads, opportunities, activities, and pipeline
  • Ability to develop scopes of work and align proposals to client needs
  • Proven ability to build and maintain referral relationships with executive chefs, facility leaders, plant managers, etc.
  • Experience in hospitality, food service, healthcare, logistics, operations, or staffing
  • Not an entry-level role; prior outside sales/business development experience required
