The Outside Sales Account Executive is responsible for achieving established sales targets to meet company objectives within North America. Executes sales and marketing plans to promote sales growth in assigned product vertical(s). Develops program innovations based on identifying client performance gaps, drives merchant growth and performance while exceeding customer expectations. Responsible for sourcing sales leads by identifying the correct program solution to achieve established sales targets, developing, maintaining, and growing a database of prospective customers within assigned territory/market. This position is commissionable.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through various methods such as cold calling, networking, and referrals.
    • Generate and qualify leads to build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Sales Presentations and Demonstrations:
    • Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients.
    • Clearly articulate the value proposition of the company's products or services.
  • Relationship Building:
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Negotiation and Closing:
    • Negotiate terms and close sales deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
    • Handle objections and provide solutions to potential clients.
  • Market Research and Strategy:
    • Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and industry developments.
    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales progress to be documented in CRM and calendar.
    • Prepare regular reports on sales performance and market feedback.
    • Utilize all sales supports tools including but not limited to: PowerBI, Excel, PandaDoc, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, etc.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration:
    • Working closely with the marketing function to support channel and partner programs.
    • Acting as the internal and external “champion” to the UCFS businesses.
    • Engage internal functions of sales/marketing/operations to provide VOC, Extra Effort Strategies & reporting rigor.
    • Collaborate cross departmentally to enhance internal and external communications.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Communicates effectively (verbally and in writing) to a wide range of internal and external customers/clients/management.
  • Knowledge of current and potential market trends and understand the scope and impact those trends have on underwriting business.
  • Ability to recognize opportunities to enhance the process flow to increase efficiency.
  • Strong customer service ability and superior organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making ability. Ability to execute.
  • Attention to detail. Thorough with a strong ability to see projects through to completion.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Proficiency with a computer, standard office equipment, smart phone, and computer programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Internet/search engine savvy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree required.
  • 5+ years’ sales experience with proven sales results; consumer credit lending experience a plus.
  • Territory management/client development experience.
  • 2+ years previous B2B account management and field sales experience required.
