Outside Brands and The Outside Foundation are seeking a high-energy, creative, and task-oriented Marketing Coordinator, who loves the outdoors and the Lowcountry, to join our team.  The position is responsible for the effective management and creative storytelling via marketing, advertising, and promotional activities that align with the marketing department’s long-term goals and objectives for Outside Brands. 

**This role will also support The Outside Foundation’s Marketing efforts, as directed by the Director of Marketing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

OUTSIDE BRANDS:

· Assist with the creation and coordination of marketing, advertising, and promotional materials across print and digital platforms.

· Support Outside’s social media presence, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other platforms.

· Monitor customer review sites and craft timely, professional responses.

· Create marketing presentations and reports; analyze results and share recommendations with company leadership.

· Manage project workflows to meet department timelines and deadlines.

· Proofread communications and ensure brand consistency across Outside platforms.

· Coordinate with external vendors and agencies as needed.

· Attend media, advertising, and promotional events as needed.

· Support the planning and execution of marketing events.

· Monitor industry best practices, market trends, and competitor activity.

· Identify opportunities to improve products, services, and marketing effectiveness.

· Foster a positive environment of learning, collaboration, and trust.

· Support Outside’s mission to “Enrich lives by connecting people to exceptional places, products, and experiences.”

· Follow all company policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.

THE OUTSIDE FOUNDATION
 

· Create engaging brand content (graphics, messaging, storytelling).

· Manage website updates, event calendar, and social presence.

· Build and send monthly email newsletters and announcements.

· Assist the planning and promotion of Foundation events and attend as needed.

· Support media outreach and promotional materials.

· Assist with Annual Report and major storytelling initiatives.

· Keep digital tools organized (Canva, WIX, Google Drive).

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Marketing, Communication, or related field.

  • At least one year of marketing experience with a proven and verifiable record of accomplishments, inclusive of internships or related experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of digital media, including social, website development, banner and rich media advertising, video, and      more.
  • Expert skills working in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically with In-Design, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Applications including Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Photography and videography skills are a major bonus.
  • Requires proficient mastery of communication skills, both verbal and written including grammar and spelling proofing.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Frequently standing up or moving within and outside the facility 
  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 35lbs
  • Comfortable being on boats, riding bikes, and using a kayak, as occasional time on trip offerings will be required.
  • Proficient PC/Mac computer skills
  • Communicating with customers, employees, and third parties 
  • Handling objects, products, and computer equipment.

Skills Required
