Location: Northpoint Littleton (Adult outpatient in Littleton, CO)

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm 

Compensation: $90,000-115,000

POSITION SUMMARY: As a key member of the Northpoint team, the Outpatient Program Director will partner with leadership to set strategic priorities for the program assigned. This person has oversight of administrative, clinical, and medical staff, and is entrusted to achieve operational and financial goals. This person must demonstrate effective oversight and the development of systems to ensure staff competence, and effective use of resources. This position will ensure program integrity, and will actively contribute to clinical programming and the multidisciplinary treatment team. The Outpatient Program Director will have responsibility to achieve measurable clinical and operational goals, and financial results.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Focus on census building efforts, strategic staffing, operational efficiency, and clinical excellence to achieve budgeted financial objectives
  • Partner with HR to recruit staff in advance of need and coordinate staff participation in new service lines and expansions
  • Develop positive relationships with local industry, government, health care providers, and key referrents to champion Northpoint’s mission in the community
  • Manage and develop employees. Create a culture that motivates employees and increases retention. Direct, coordinate, and supervise the delivery of patient care through direct and indirect supervision, evaluations, performance feedback and internal quality audits
  • Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence
  • Partner with the Regional Vice President to ensure that plans, operations, and patient care are aligned with the Mission, Vision and Core Values of Northpoint, and the Northpoint clinical and operational models
  • Contribute to the development of strategic planning efforts and initiatives and maintain good communication with the corporate support teams. Ensure employees respond promptly to corporate requests for information, and deliverables
  • Lead a clinical team and supervise clinical decisions; demonstrate effective oversight and the development of systems to ensure staff competency, adherence to scope of licensure, and program fidelity
  • Manage performance concerns, as applicable. Regularly assess staff and provide appropriate training
  • Make decisions in coordination with the multidisciplinary treatment team regarding client appropriateness for admission, discharge or transfer to a different level of care
  • Lead the resolution of unusual clinical situations involving client, families, visitors, and employees. Provide guidance, safety, stability and direction including de-escalating situations, when appropriate
  • Case staffing, individual case supervision, review of case record maintenance, treatment planning, facilitate individual and group therapy, and discharge planning
  • Knowledge and utilization of all written Northpoint Recovery guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure high quality, effective and efficient services as well as accurate and timely documentation; this includes clinical supervision to staff seeking clinical endorsement
  • Review clinical documentation daily and provide signatures as needed
  • Work closely, cooperatively, and amicably while maintaining professional boundaries with all staff members
  • Cover scheduling needs; organize holiday group coverage, coordinate coverage for unscheduled absences
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with established policies and procedures and standards of care
  • Other clinically appropriate services and special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master’s Degree in Mental Health, Social Sciences or other relevant field required
  • Must hold an active mental health licensure in the state where treatment services are rendered 
  • Must maintain applicable state licensure requirements at hire, and for the entire duration of employment
  • 5+ years of experience in relevant field required
  • 3+ years in a clinical leadership capacity required
  • Must be able to exercise discretion and independent judgment in all areas of job performance including adherence to appropriate professional boundaries and strict confidentiality practices in regard to client activities and documentation
  • Able to apply clinical judgment, ethics and accountability to formulate and implement treatment plans and other clinical documentation
  • Must be action oriented with the ability to identify opportunities, adapt to change, work independently, prioritize tasks and drive projects to completion
  • Possess an unwavering positive attitude and the highest level of integrity, must be operationally oriented and results-driven while maintaining strategic perspective; couple compassion with operational rigor
  • Exemplify company culture and exhibit a high level of energy, strong work ethic, and an unrelenting hunger to succeed and win
  • Ability to work with a diverse population and possess strong interpersonal skills and knowledge required for treating adolescent clients assigned
  • Must hold strong personal boundaries and able to build rapport with patients
  • Must understand and adhere to the ethical standards of the respective licensure governing board

  • Direct supervisor for clinical, administrative, medical, and support staff
