Job Title: Outbound Lead Development Representative (Outbound LDR)

About the Role

As an Outbound Sales Development Representative (SDR), you will play a key role in driving AVEVA’s growth by generating new business opportunities through proactive and strategic outreach.

This role is ideal for a motivated, strategic communicator who thrives on outbound prospecting, creative engagement, and building pipeline in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You’ll connect with prospective and existing customers to expand AVEVA’s footprint by uncovering business needs, aligning them with the right solutions and sales support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and qualify new sales opportunities through targeted outbound prospecting via phone, email, and social media.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and technical teams to align on territory priorities, account strategies, and opportunity development.
  • Research target accounts to identify key decision-makers, personalize outreach, and uncover potential needs or challenges.
  • Use tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to manage prospecting activities and maintain accurate CRM data.
  • Develop a solid understanding of AVEVA’s solutions and value propositions to clearly articulate how they address customer pain points and industry trends.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed performance metrics for outreach activity, qualified opportunities, and pipeline through the sales cycle.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2+ years of outbound sales or business development experience in a B2B environment (preferably SaaS or industrial technology).
  • Proven ability to strategically prospect, identify target accounts, and craft personalized outreach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence in cold calling and discovery conversations.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and skilled at handling objections while maintaining motivation through high-volume outreach.
  • Self-starter with a collaborative, goal-oriented, and positive approach to achieving measurable results.
  • Analytical mindset with curiosity to identify market trends and new business opportunities.
  • Proficiency with CRM and prospecting tools, such as Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
