The Role

The OTC Financial Analyst should execute General Tasks related to Local Customs and Trade Compliance Operations (LCTC). The role should ensure that service level agreements on timeliness and accuracy of postings are met / exceeded, and continuously find ways to drive efficiency and effectiveness by suggesting and implementing process improvements and best practices.
Responsibilities

  • Every hit in SAP GTS, regardless if it’s from SPL Online or generated from a document/partner check in P11 must be assessed
  • GTS uses a search algorithm which looks for the similarity of names. The business partner data is compared with the sanctions list entries
  • It must be assessed why the system generated a hit
  • The assessment should lead to a result if the hit was a false positive or a real hit. A detailed description for your False Positive Clearing must be documented in GTS (release comment)
  • In case of a false positive, the partner/document can be released. In a period of 1 hour within regular business hours
  • Real hits need further assessments, done by Global Trade Governance
  • An annual E-Learning must be carried out by each GTS user
  • Acting as first point of contact for blocked BP and documents in sanctions screening-related matters for SSC’s first level support in sanctions hit clearance
  • Data cleansing and communication to GTS account holder details
  • Adherence to service hours for false positive clearing within one hour of regular working hours
  • Regulation of vacation replacements and coordination with other team members
  • Weekly review of regular blocked BP and documents
  • Provide detailed description for your False Positive Clearing (must be documented in GTS - release comment)
  • Participation in joint projects regarding the further development of the SAP GTS P45 system
  • Participation in meetings, workshops, Trainings etc.
  • Process documentation
  • Regular review of process excellence
  • Assistance with internal audits

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Finance or Business related bachelor's degree
  • Sound experience in SAP GTS and also its interfaces to ECC (SD and MM)
  • Knowledge of legal requirements for sanctions list screening 
  • Personal dedication to the demanding task, detail orientation and quality focus as adherence to deadlines
  • Motivated team player with a high degree of proactivity and personal responsibility
  • Experience in dealing with databases and analytical thinking
  • Detail Oriented with strong analytical and communication skills
  • Good perceptual and comprehension skills, complemented by an understanding of complex contexts and a structured and systematic approach to solve problems
  • Strong MS Office, SAP-GTS, SAP-ECC, JIRA skills required
  • Highly professional, results-oriented attitude, quality, and customer-oriented working methods as well as convincing behavior towards stakeholders at all hierarchical levels of an international organization.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages highly welcome
