The Operational Technology System Engineer for hyperscaler customers is a critical technical role responsible for managing and optimizing systems within large-scale data centers. This position involves ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of systems and more specifically of servers and applications that support the organization's OT infrastructure, including Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), and other critical systems.
Key responsibilities include deploying, configuring, and maintaining servers, implementing security measures, and troubleshooting system issues. The Operational Technology System Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and operations, to ensure seamless integration and operation of OT systems. Additionally, the role involves staying current with industry trends and advancements to drive innovation and continuous improvement in OT system management.
Candidates must have extensive experience in Windows system administration, particularly in data center or similar high-demand environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work effectively in a dynamic and complex OT environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux servers and applications.
- Ensure the performance, security, and reliability of Windows -based OT systems.
- Implement and manage security measures for Linux servers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of Linux-based OT systems.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in Linux system management.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for Linux system configurations and procedures.
- Conduct regular system updates and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
- Support the continuous improvement of Linux system management processes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in Windows system administration, particularly in data centers or similar environments.
- Knowledge of backup solutions is a plus.
- Strong understanding of OT systems, including BMS, EPMS, SCADA, PLCs, and HMI systems.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible).
- Experience with security measures and best practices for Windows systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Knowledge of network protocols and technologies, such as TCP/IP, RDP, and VPN.
- Experience in developing technical documentation and providing technical support.
- Ability to manage system updates and maintenance processes.
- Understanding of industry standards and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., SOC2, ISO27001 ).
