The Pole Attachment Specialist should have hands-on experience supporting OSP telecommunications projects involving

utility poles, attachment applications, permitting, and utility coordination.

Candidates should understand the pole attachment process from engineering review through application and approval,

including coordinating with pole owners and other utility companies to obtain required permissions.


Core Experience


  • Experience with pole attachment applications, permitting, and approval processes.
  • Strong understanding of utility coordination, including working with electric utilities, telecommunications
  • providers, cable companies, and other pole owners.
  • Experience communicating with utilities through email, phone, and utility systems/portals to obtain attachment
  • approvals and resolve outstanding issues.
  • OSP engineering experience sufficient to understand pole infrastructure and attachment requirements.
  • Ability to review and interpret work prints, engineering drawings, and design documents.
  • Understanding of power placement and telecommunications attachments on utility poles.
  • Experience identifying pole ownership and determining the appropriate utility or jurisdiction responsible for
  • Experience preparing, submitting, tracking, and managing pole attachment permits/applications through final
  • Ability to identify potential conflicts or deficiencies that could delay attachment approval.
  • Familiarity with aerial fiber construction and OSP engineering workflows.
  • Experience coordinating with engineering, permitting, construction, and utility teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to track multiple applications, approvals, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of NESC standards and utility-specific pole attachment requirements is preferred.

  • Broader experience with OSP engineering, permitting, utility coordination, aerial fiber design, and pole

attachments is highly valued

Base Pay Range
$26$33 USD
