Job Description

Passionate about working with primary school age children? Whether you’re an experienced Educator, have some babysitting experience, or are exploring a career in childcare for the first time, THIS is the role for you! 

Our OSHC service Donvale Christian College OSHClub is looking for a dedicated Educator to join our team in delivering fun and engaging programs for primary school children. This permanent part-time role guarantees a minimum of 17.5 hours per week, with opportunities for extra hours during the school holidays. It is ideally suited to someone who's values aligns with the faith based ethos of the college.

About the Role 

Working alongside a supportive team, you’ll help create a welcoming and enriching environment for children aged 5-12 years old. Your role will include: 

  • Facilitating exciting, child-led activities, including STEM, sports, cooking, arts & crafts – whatever you and the kids love! 
  • Building strong relationships with children, families, and the school community 
  • Collaborating with a team of skilled Educators to ensure a safe, fun, and engaging program 

You'll work afternoon shifts Monday – Friday across the services opening hours of: 

Afternoon: 2:30pm – 6:00pm (Stay and Play Program)

and extra hours available in School Holidays: 6:00am – 6:00pm (Holiday HQ Program) 

Qualifications

Who We’re Looking For 

No formal experience? No problem! We’ll provide all the training you need. We’re looking for someone who: 
✔️ Enjoys working with children and making a positive impact 
✔️ ACEQA approved Diploma qualified Educator
✔️ Communicates clearly and confidently 
✔️ Works well in a team and aspires to grow into a leadership role 
✔️ Holds (or is willing to obtain) a National Police Check and a Working with Children check 
✔️ National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding
✔️ Has Australian work rights
