Hourly Rate: $47.81 to $50.00 Per Hour + 12% Super.
Additional payment of $2.07 to $2.15 per hour available under Worker Retention Payment Scheme.
- Days Required: Monday to Friday. Five days per week required.
- Before School Care: 6:45 am to 8:45 am.
- After School Care: 2:15 pm to 6:00 pm.
- Total Hours: 28 hours and 45 minutes per week.
- Vacation Care: Up to 30 hours per week.
- Contract: Casual.
- Professional development sessions are paid training sessions, and Retention payments are above award.
The Out of School Hours Care Coordinator supports the safe, engaging and inclusive operation of the after-school care program. The OSHC Coordinator supervise school-aged children, supports daily routines, prepares and organises the program amd resource and contributes to a welcoming environment.
Your Impact: Key ResponsibilitiesAs our OSHC Service Coordinator, you will support the safe, engaging, and inclusive operation of our care programs, supervising primary school aged children.
- Be the Visionary: You will coordinate the delivery of programming, epic science experiments, sports tournaments, and creative arts that support children’s development, wellbeing, and interests.
- Safety First, Fun Always: Undertake direct supervision and care of children. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe environment, monitoring and reporting hazards, incidents, or injuries promptly.
- Chef it up: Whip up healthy, tasty snacks, breakfast and afternoon tea. Maintain food preparation and serving areas in line with food handling guidelines and health regulations.
- The Clockwork Catalyst: Manage the day-to-day routines of the service, including sign-in/sign-out, attendance records, safe dismissal, program setup/pack-away, and essential administrative duties outside of care hours.
- Champion Quality: Coordinate observations and feedback to assist with ongoing program planning. Partner with your Programs Engagement Manager on Assessment & Ratings with the full backing of our compliance experts at TEG Compass.
- The Community Connector: Build positive, respectful, and trusting relationships with children, families, and school leadership. Support communication regarding daily routines, minor matters, and children’s general wellbeing.
- Uphold Child Safety: Actively promote a child-safe environment by strictly adhering to the child protection protocols, identifying risks, and taking all necessary measures within your mandatory reporting obligations. Support the implementation of Extend's policies including child safety, risk management, atteendance, behaviour guidleines and emergency procedures to align with Wesely college's policies.
- Child Protection Responsibility: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of and comply with the Extend's Child Protection Program, including the Child Protection & Safety Policy, Code of Ethics, and all legislative and reporting obligations relating to child safety.
- Child Safety Practice: Actively promote and maintain a child-safe environment by identifying and responding to child safety risks, recognising indicators of abuse, managing disclosures, reporting concerns through appropriate internal and external channels, and taking all reasonable steps to protect students in their care.
- The Qualification: You’ve got (or are studying toward) a Diploma, Bachelor’s, Masters in Early Childhood, Primary Teaching, or School Aged Care and more. Check with us if your qualification is approved!

- Valid Working With Children Check

- Strong interpersonal skills; warm, engaging, can-do attitude and ability to build trust with children, families and staff
